It’s that time of year. I’ve already spotted some in the grocery stores. Local, home-grown asparagus! Considered a true sign of spring, there’s nothing that tastes more like spring than those tender stalks of vegetarian delight!
I’m not going to lie, on the occasions where I’ve been able to pick my own asparagus, or grab a fresh bunch from the farmer’s market, I will crunch that raw asparagus down like a candy bar. It’s that veggie that is so unique, you can’t say “It tastes kind of like (insert another vegetable here)”, because there just is nothing quite like it.
Asparagus can be used for everything from Crudité Platters to appetizers to the main course. Check out some of my favorite ways to serve asparagus!
