Beyond Corned Beef and Cabbage
Several years ago I did a blog that compiled some of what, in my opinion, were the best St. Patrick’s Day recipes around. If you’re Irish and/or a traditionalist, you’ll want to refer back to that post for some tips for your St. Patty’s Day meal. But I got to thinking, what are some other Irish inspired dishes for someone who doesn’t like corned beef, or someone who just wants to shake things up a little on March 17th?
I found some equally fantastic recipes that I’m eager to try this year.
Guinness Beef Stew (from Gimme Some Oven)
Colcannon (mashed potatoes w/kale) (from Good Housekeeping)
Beer and Irish Cheese Bread (from Girl in the Little Red Kitchen)
Irish Cream Macarons (from A Classic Twist)
Irish Buck Cocktail (from The Daily Meal)
Whether you’re celebrating with family, or sharing this fun holiday with a few friends, these recipes are sure to bring you the Luck O’ The Irish!
