Creative Gardening Ideas
All you have to do is head to Pinterest, or Google “unique gardening ideas” to find a plethora of fun projects big and small. Yes, some of them are pretty involved and could involve a significant investment of time and money. But there are less expensive ways to spruce up your yard by repurposing items around the house, starting flowers from seeds and/or doing a flower swap with neighbors and friends. And much of it can be done in a day or less.
It was just these ideas swimming around in my head one dreary day when I decided to peruse the internet for some DIY projects I could actually see myself taking on. As mentioned, the opportunities are endless. But I’ve narrowed it down to a few favorites that I will be attempting in the coming weeks.
Old Drawers to Porch Planters (from My Repurposed Life)
Bird Bath Flower Beds (from Better Homes & Gardens)
Watering Can with Lights (from Beth Bryan Designs)
Tree Stump Flower Bed (from The Gardening Cook)
Outdoor Plant Chandelier (from Balcony Garden Web)
Try one of these, or do your own search and create a fun new look for your yard this spring!
