Fall Feels

Fall Feels

Well, it’s officially fall, and for me, it means I finally begin to embrace all the fall feels. The smell of leaves as they flutter from the trees. The crisp morning air. The warm beverages, like mulled cider, hot cocoa and maybe even a pumpkin latté. But one of the things I love most about fall is cozy comfort food, specifically soups, stews and casseroles.

I’m indoors more as the air gets chillier and naturally find myself with more time and motivation to cook and try new recipes. The following are NOT recipes I’ve yet tried, at least not these versions, but I’ve got a list to take me through the fall and into winter and these are some of the most intriguing options!

Butternut Squash and Turmeric Soup  (from Woman’s Day)

Chicken and Barley Stew with Dill and Lemon  (from Food & Wine)

Creamy Chicken Sausage and Kale Soup  (from Southern Living)

Slow Cooker Mushroom Soup with Sherry  (from Eating Well)

Butternut Squash Lasagna  (from The Pioneer Woman)

Gorgonzola Baked Polenta  (from Country Living)

Ground Beef Spinach Casserole  (from allrecipes)

Shrimp and Grits Casserole  (from From A Chef’s Kitchen)

If you try them before I do, let me know what you think!
