"In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb..."

March is upon us, and I, for one, couldn’t be happier! Like the old saying, “March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb”, the hope for many, at least here in the northeast, is that while winter is still hanging on, by the end of the month spring will have sprung!

March can be tricky…there’s been many a blizzard in March, only to be digging out shorts and t-shirts a few days later with temperatures rising to the 70’s or even 80’s in New York state. Maybe it’s the unpredictability, or perhaps the knowledge that the warmer days will soon outnumber the cooler ones; whatever the reason, I look forward to this month!

As spring evolves, the daffodils and tulips are blooming and the days get longer. For me, this provides motivation (that may have been lacking over the long, dark winter). It is during the spring that I find myself coming up with ideas for new pieces for the studio, redecorating, cleaning, trying new recipes…anything fresh that will match the earthy smell and warming sunshine on my front porch!

When I find inspiration, I love to share it with my readers, clients, friends and neighbors!
