When you live in the northeast like I do, one of many reasons you look forward to summer is the abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers that we don’t have access to at other times of the year. The timing is perfect because summer picnics, barbecue’s, potluck’s and the occasional al fresco luncheon all call for summer salads on the menu!
To celebrate this tasty season, I’ve compiled some of my favorite summer salad recipes.
Avocado Strawberry Spinach Salad (from Gimme Some Oven)
Best Broccoli Salad (from Love and Lemons)
Creamy Dilled Cucumber Salad (from Closet Cooking)
Easy Italian Pasta Salad (from Kitchn)
Honey Lime Rainbow Fruit Salad (from Cooking Classy)
Perfect Caprese Salad (from Delish)
So head to the nearest farmer’s market, vegetable stand, or, if you’ve got a green thumb, maybe your own garden and pick (or pick up) the ingredients you need for your delicious summer salad!
