Two Words...
Instant Pot. Do you have one? Do you want one? I feel like I’m a little late to the party, but oh, what a party it is! I received an instant pot as a holiday gift and now understand what all the hype is about. Not only does it save time; chicken breasts from frozen to fully cooked in about an hour; but it’s so easy to clean!
Do you love fish, but hate the smell that permeates your kitchen when you bake it in the oven? With a little parchment paper and a salmon filet, or a piece of white fish, you can have a healthy, delicious dinner in minutes and virtually NO odor!
I used to make beef stew in my crock pot. You know the drill, prep and get it started in the morning, and 6 - 8 hours later you’ve got dinner. I was skeptical that the instant pot would keep the meat tender and the veggies not too soft. But in a little over a half hour (not counting prep time) I had a delicious stew.
Mashed potatoes, mashed butternut squash, mashed cauliflower? I’m well known for boiling these over and making a mess of my stove top. In the instant pot…so easy, 6 - 10 minutes, mash it right in the pot when you’re done, and simply wash the pot out in the sink.
Oh, yeah, and did I mention you can sauté veggies and brown meats right in the pot on the sauté mode? I could go on and on, but if you are looking to save time both cooking and cleaning this year, check out these sites for some incredible instant pot recipes! Happy Cooking!
