Collaborations by Women: Part 1

Collaborations by Women: Part 1

In 1980, President Jimmy Carter signed a proclamation designating March as National Women’s History Month. At that time he said,

“From the first settlers who came to our shores, from the first American Indian families who befriended them, men and women have worked together to build this nation. Too often the women were unsung and sometimes their contributions went unnoticed. But the achievements, leadership, courage, strength and love of the women who built America was as vital as that of the men whose names we know so well.”

In honor of Women’s History Month, I will be celebrating some women that I work with, whose success, drive, and passion for their work has only helped to bring mine to another level. This week, I’m highlighting photographer, Rikki Snyder. I have had the opportunity to work with Rikki for over five years now.

Not only has she helped me with hundreds upon hundreds of photographs of my glassware and home décor products, that are featured on my website, blog, and social media sites, but I’ve had the pleasure of working with her to photograph and write about my home and studio for several articles in Houzz Magazine. Click the links below to view these articles.

I can’t say enough about Rikki’s work ethic, passion for her art, kind personality, and willingness to do just about whatever I ask of her. It is women like Rikki that not only speak to our history, but make the future look bright!
