And what a year it’s been! I can’t help but think back on 2018 and rejoice in the love and beauty that surrounds me up here on Golden Hill. I’m so very lucky to have been able to create a happy life in my big, red farmhouse. Forty plus years of renovations and improvements have made it a wonderful place to live, work and share with family and friends.

Some highlights of the year include creating and selling several new designs within our glassware collections. We rolled out both our Patriotic and Oriental Poppy Floral collections this summer and implemented the Whimsical: Warm Paws Collection in October as we promoted National Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog month along with the ASPCA, an organization near and dear to my heart.

For the holidays, we created not one, but two new collections, our Mistletoe Love and Black Forest Pine collections, the latter becoming one of our best sellers!

My home, studio and yard were featured in Houzz several times throughout the year and we worked very hard to re-brand as well, so that our globally inspired designs were marketed as just that, Globally Inspired; Locally Designed.

On a personal note, I’ve hosted friends and colleagues from all over the country as well as Australia, here at Golden Hill, and was able to take a wonderful vacation to Tennessee around Thanksgiving to reminisce and visit with family and long-time friends.

In reflection of the changes, challenges and successes that have culminated over the past year, I once again am thankful for the blessed life I live and look to 2019 with encouragement, hope and excitement for what lies ahead. Happy New Year from my home to yours!
