Are you setting a festive table for the holidays this year? You’d be surprised what a simple table runner can add to your Christmas table! I’m not a huge fan of table cloths. They are often bulky and cumbersome if they aren’t just the right size for your table. I also love the natural look of the wood grain in the table and like it to be visible, so I often turn to table runners to dress up the table.

Another train of thought however is to use a solid color tablecloth, and create a layered look with a table runner on top. Either way, table runners create options and versatility for your festivities.

But runners aren’t just for the holidays. You can utilize different table runners as part of your seasonal décor or just simply add one to your setting for a single dinner party.

And although they are called “table runners” they don’t have to be used on your table. Cover dressers in the bedroom, coffee tables in the living room or a hutch or sideboard in the dining room. That’s the fabulous part of runners, they create multiple decor opportunities yet are extremely simple to integrate into your home’s unique personality.
