Wall coverings are trending right now…and it’s not your grandmother’s wallpaper! While just about anything goes in the realm of home decor and interior design these days, bright, vibrant, patterned walls are definitely on the upswing right now. And whether you just want to dip your toes into the trend (think papering an accent wall in a bedroom) or choose to fully embrace it (wallpapered ceilings!) there’s no end to what you can do with wallpaper.

As an artist, color, texture and pattern are ways to express myself. This design feature allows for more than just picking out paint colors. And with the many “peel-and-stick” options available now, installing and/or removing wallpaper is much easier than it used to be. The cost is relatively minimal and certainly in line with the cost of paint, so even if you get tired of the wallpaper you hung, you can easily change it out in a couple of years.

What’s your style? Consider big, bold florals; whimsical prints like foxes or lobsters; stripes of all colors and sizes; or even mural-type wall coverings. The look is versatile, not boring and not permanent, so there’s no reason, as far as I can think of, not to give it a try!
