Here’s my thoughts on porches: If you have a porch, count your blessings. If you are considering any type of home improvement project in the near future, consider a porch.

A porch is a possibility for a multitude of different types of homes and whether you hire a professional carpenter or are just really good at DIY home improvements, you won’t be disappointed with this addition. 

My porch is really an extension of my indoor home. Although I live in the northeast, where the winters are cold and snowy, I use my porch the other three seasons of the year. It’s a great place to start my day with a cup of tea or coffee in the morning.

On breezy summer days I’ll even bring my laptop out to work on the porch.

And I love entertaining friends on the porch in any season.

I love to decorate my porch for the different seasons as well. After all, it is the first part of my home that anyone sees upon arrival.
